House Calls

Benefits of House Calls:

Veterinary house calls involve a veterinarian and/or their team visiting your home to provide medical care for your pet. This service offers a convenient, personalized, and stress-free option and is particularly beneficial for senior pets and those with mobility challenges. This describes many of our rehabilitation patients.

Pets are examined and treated in the comfort of their own home, reducing stress and anxiety associated with traveling and unfamiliar environments. The vet can also observe your pet’s home environment, which can provide insights and solutions for their pain or mobility problems. Our team can help you modify your pet’s home environment to keep them as comfortable and mobile as possible. It can also help us customize your exercise programs using common items you have around the house.

How to prepare for a House Call:

To ensure a smooth and efficient house call, here’s how you can prepare:

  1. Clear a quiet space that will be comfortable for you and your pet.
  2. Keep a leash and your coat handy as we may walk outside to assess your pet on a short walk.
  3. Locate any videos you have of your pet that you want to show the vet.
  4. Keep other pets in a separate area to minimize distractions.
  5. Make a list of any concerns or questions you have for the vet.
